Seven members of the Go Forward team have been discharged from hospital where they were admitted after a nasty accident.
Amama Mbabazi’s convoy was involved in an accident at Bisheshe, along the Ibanda- Kamwenge road in Ibanda district, yesterday.
The Super Custom, registration number UAV 418 T failed the driver at Kakyende, after Ibanda town, veering off the road into a trench.
Seven occupants of the car were injured and rushed to Kagongo hospital, a few kilometres outside Ibanda town.
JPAM communications director, Josephine Nkangi, told us on phone that the victims had been discharged from the hospital and are recovering.
They were ferried to Mbarara and put in a Guest House from where they will be driven to Kampala.
Earlier in January 2016, three members of independent presidential candidate Mbabazi’s security team were admitted after sustaining serious injuries in a car crash.
Ten of Mbabazi’s security team members were travelling from Moroto district to Kaabong district, where he was expected to hold his rallies when the vehicle, again a super custom, they were travelling in veered off the road and overturned.
The driver was reportedly over speeding.
