Ingrid was arrested this afternoon in industrial area.
She was intercepted by anti-riot police while driving along Mukwano road, rounded up and whisked away.
Earlier Ingrid said in a social media message that police had forced its way into their party offices in Najjanankumbi after which it arrested eight date entry clerks and reportedly destroyed their documents.
She also said a one DPC Kaheebwa was looking for her to arrest her.
DPC Kaheebwa who was commanding the Operation told NTV’s Sheila Nduhukire that he was only doing regular policing along Entebbe Road.
Ingrid was arrested last week with Kizza Besigye, Mugisha Muntu and Wasswa Birigwa.
She was detained along with the group at Nagalama police station in Mukono.
It took the relentless calls by Besigye’s wife, Winnie Byanyima, to get her released.
She has now been taken back to jail.
Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, denied arresting the clerks but “five suspects who failed to identify themselves”.
He said police deployed resources at the premises on the invitation of the FDC last week to supplement regular security arrangements during the electoral period and prevent post-election violence.
FDC Chairman Wasswa Biriggwa reportedly wrote to the Police on February 11, 2016 requesting for security at the Najjanankumbi headquarters for the duration of the electoral period.
Onyango also denied confiscating FDC computers and documents.
