FDC secretary for mobilisation Ingrid Turinawe also advised Ethics and Integrity minister Simon Lokodo to keep his hands off Makerere lecturer Stella Nyanzi.
Lokodo on Monday ordered the arrest of Nyanzi for undressing in public, taking nude pictures and circulating them on social media.
Facebook has since deactivated Nyanzi’s accounts for violating their community policy.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga says they are yet to question Nyanzi on her behaviour.
There are mixed reactions among the public with some supporting and others condemning what the Makerere Institute of Social Research don did.
FDC strongman Kizza Besigye lauded her for “winning by defiance”.
Ingrid on the other hand believes oppression led Stella Nyanzi to Strip naked.
“Now for you minister Fr. Lokodo…I say don’t dare You land your Hand on her.”
Ingrid said the women in this country are already bitter.
“Trust you will not arrest one Individual Stella Nyanzi if you fail to back off even after this warning!”
Ingrid said if its true that Lokodo is genuinely embarrassed or offended by her action, then he should “please let it pass”.
“Or else you will be shocked by hundreds of the same. I repeat, hands off Stella Nyanzi! Do not lead us into temptation! Fr. Lokodo.”
When police undressed Ingrid and Fatimah Zainab Naigaga, Lokodo did not order arrests but instead the force accused the women of undressing themselves as an activism tactic.
Ingrid insisted nobody can convince her that Nyanzi is a mad woman.
“She has been pushed so hard to the wall. She finds herself helpless with no any other tool to protect her job. She has openly and defiantly expressed her political stand like any other Ugandans employed or unemployed.”
According to Ingrid, even Badru Kiggundu [EC boss] has not been terminated for supporting a presidential candidate and “stealing votes for him”.
She said any termination of her Job should be done in a proper procedure and with relevant reasons in which she must have a right to defend herself.
“I will not join any one castigating her! I stand by you Stella Nyanzi.”
