The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah, on Wednesday 22nd June 2016 paid his respects to the late Naume Bamwoze, the wife of retired Bishop Cyprian Bamwoze.
The late Naume Bamwoze succumbed to complications related to diabetes and high blood pressure on 9th June 2016. She was buried at Bugembe Cathedral grounds.
Oulanyah, a close family friend to the Bamwozes, was out of the country when the Bishop’s wife passed on.
He informed Bishop Bamwoze that he learnt of the news of the death of his wife through the Internet and was deeply saddened by her passing.
The Deputy Speaker recollected the good times he and his family had when they visited the Bishop’s home.
“We used to roast goat meat and make merry as the children played in the compound. Mama was very animated during these visits. We shall greatly miss her,” he said.
Bishop Bamwoze, who was calm and jolly, advised his visitors to work hard and live safe. Live like “Rich men furnished with ability, living peaceably in their habitations,” he said quoting from the Bible.
Oulanyah later laid a wreath on the grave of the late Naume Bamwoze.
