Former premier and independent presidential candidate Amama Mbabazi has reiterated he has not seen the oil agreements for Uganda.
Speaking to the press at Mbarara Lake View hotel, Mr Mbabazi claimed that the oil agreements were never an issue brought to the cabinet which he chairs.
“These matters (oil agreements) were never handled by the cabinet, I never saw them,” Mr Mbabazi said.
On Friday January 15, during a presidential debate at Serena hotel Kampala, candidates were asked if any of them had seen the oil agreements between Uganda and Tullow Oil.
However, while the audience and fellow candidates continued to signal that the former premier could have seen them, he declined.
The agreements are said to have been signed in February 2012, the time Amama Mbabazi was still holding office.
