Several families have been left homeless after heavy rains destroyed their houses in Sembabule district.

The strong winds that came with the rains have also blown off Kasambya Primary School leaving scores of pupils and teachers stranded.
The most affected villages include Ntete, Kikomdeka, Kibuubu, Lwamatengo, Kamasavu, and Bwogero all in Kasambya and Nakasenyi Parishes in Lwebitakuli Sub County in Sembabule district.

The local leaders in the area are calling upon the ministry of disaster and preparedness to come to their rescue since most of their property worth millions of money has been destroyed.
