Gunmen attack Mukono, shoot 3 dead

Police in Mukono district is hunting for four gunmen said to have attacked business operators in Nabuti village Mukono district on Friday leaving three people dead and two injured.

According to Mukono District Police Commander, Fred Ahimbisibwe, investigations into the attack have been launched as security agencies comb for attackers.

Eye witnesses say the attack which happened at around 9pm by men dressed in military gear left Juliet Eva Nagawa a mobile money agent, Robert Mugalu a boda boda rider and another businessman only identified as Ssenoga dead.

The two injured persons were rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital in a critical condition.

Romeo Balintuma, the area LCI chairperson urged police to provide them with security saying residents are vulnerable to such attacks given the fact that there’s no security in the area.
