The storm against State Minister for Water Ronald Kibuule is just deepening.
The latest we gather is that government has launched it’s investigations into the allegations that he slapped a female guard at Stanbic bank Mukono branch two weeks ago.
While delivering his speech at the two day Cabinet Retreat which is underway at Lake Victoria Serena Hotel in Kigo, prime minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda said Minister Kibuule is being investigated and action will be taken against him, depending on the results of the probe.
Opening session of the cabinet retreat was chaired by Gen Moses Ali.
This comes just days after it emerged that Kibuule was trying to reach out to the said guard, Hellen Obuk to settle the matter out of the justice system.
The launch investigation a also come on the heel of wife spread call for the minister’s resignation and prosecution in courts of law for assault.
However, in his defence Kibuule who is also Mukono North Member of Parliament has insisted he never assaulted the guard but only cautioned her adding that he’s a woman rights activists and that the allegations that he slapped the guard are being spread by his polical rivals who want to see him down.
