On Sunday April 10, Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] Secretary for Mobilisation, Ingrid Turinawe, spent the night at Kasangati police station guarding her vehicle.
“Defiance works. Realising the determination I had to sleep here guarding the car from poison and devices,” she wrote on her social media Facebook wall.
Police, which had impounded her car later, gave her release papers for signing.
The car was released to her without any charges.
Last night, however, goons attacked her home in Kasangati Wakiso district and vandalised the same car.
“After my defiance protest that saw me rescue my car from Kasangati police against their good will,” she said.
She continued: “Just hours later, it is followed home. I am right to be worried the mission I foiled was accomplished last night but with much more damage — oh yes to divert me into thinking they are thieves. I took these pictures at 3am after chasing these goons.”
Ingrid says the only person [police] she would run to for help as a citizen is the first suspect.
She claims police wanted to bug her Toyota Noah and insert radioactive materials.
“Where do I go? Clearly, nowhere. I will fight on.”
