Uganda kickboxer, has opened up a talent academy in Mityana town.
The academy dubbed “Golola Talent Academy” aims at training youths from Mityana and its suburbs in the game of kickboxing.
The academy will have gyms where youth can train in wrestling, taekwondo and karate.
Golola launched the plan for this academy at Namboole last year although no one believed him.
The state-run New Vision reports that over 20 youths have been training for a month at Mityana Ssaza grounds.
The official launch of the project is on May 29 when Golola fights a Kenyan Waina Yina in a non-title light heavyweight contest.
“My dream is to see Ugandans win gold medals in the Olympics yet many talented athletes remain up country,” Golola told the newspaper.
