The fallen general will receive full military honour with a 13 gun-salute.
Gen Bamuze died on Sunday after attending a UPDF operation wealth Creation meeting in Bwebajja.
The meeting was addressed by President Yoweri Museveni.
Yesterday, funeral prayers were held in his honour at Gadaffi National Mosque in Old Kampala.
His casket was escorted by senior UPDF soldiers.
He will be flown to Yumbe via Arua today to his final resting place.
Defence deputy spokesperson, Maj Henry Obbo, said the force had lost another strong pillar.
“It is really a great loss to the nation. Bamuze was a peacemaker,” Obbo told NBS TV.
He said Bamuze was able to mobilise his rebel group, Uganda National Rescue Front 11 and join the national forces, UPDF.
The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Katumba Wamala, also hailed the late as a peace maker who because of his love for his country Uganda denounced rebellion to contribute to national peace and security.
