FUFA has expressed sympathy for KCC players who got an accident enroute to Ntungamo where they are scheduled to play against SC Villa in Uganda Cup finals.
“FUFA has received news about KCC’s players who got involved in an accident as they travelled to Western Uganda for Saturday’s Uganda Cup final,” reads a statement released by the football governing body.
The accident happened at Nekongolero-about 30 kms to Mbarara Town last evening.
According to a KCC FC Official David Tamale, two players Savio Kabugo, Joseph Ochaya, two other occupants David Obua who has been training with the team and a support staff at KCC FC Lumala Adrian were traveling in the Pick-up car that got involved in an accident.
“It is not good news for our football. We are sympathetic with what has happened to KCC FC. Every team would want to have its best players available for a high profile match like the Uganda Cup final. We pray that they recover soon,” said FUFA President Eng.Moses Magogo
KCC are trying their best to bring back the players to Kampala for treatment but the rest of the squad that was in the club bus continued with the journey.
