FUFA Competitions Committee has confirmed the venue of this year’s Uganda Cup final to be played on 18th June.
The FUFA Competitions Director Ali Mwebe revealed to fufa.co.ug that with the semi-finals set to be played on 8th and 13th June (over two legs), the final is not set for Nakivubo stadium in Kampala region.
The stadium was chosen by Kampala Region Football Association as per FUFA’s criteria of giving each of its 8 regions a chance to host the Cup final.
The Uganda cup final in the past years has already been hosted by Northern, Western, Eastern region and Kitara.
FUFA also confirmed that a Corporate Social responsibility Activity is attached to this year’s Uganda cup. Collection of clothes to be giving to a charity organisation with in a region that hosts the Uganda Cup final will receive this donation.
Clothes can be delivered at FUFA House.
Semi Final rules
The Semi final round shall be played over two legs on home and away basis.
The team at more goals at the end of the return leg shall be winner of the match.
If teams are tying by goals at the end of the return leg match, the away goals rule shall apply.
If the return leg ends in a tie and the FIFA spot kicks shall be applied to determine the winner.
