Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) member Anna Adeke is the winner of national female youth Member of Parliament seat.
The former Makerere University Guild President scooped her new seat in an election held at Kontik Hotel in Hoima town on Monday.
Mid-western regional returning officer Iddi Kaahwa, announced Adeke winner after polling 128 votes.
She beat the ruling NRM party’s Ann Ruyondo Lumumba who got 119 votes.
Independent candidate Marcelina Busomoke came in 3rd place with 87 votes.
In her victory speech, Adeke who holds a bachelor’s degree in laws of Makerere University, promised to improve the lives of young people and exhibit quality leadership.
