FDC slams army raid on Bobi Wine studios

Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] has condemned a military raid at singer Bobi Wine’s studios in Kamwokya on Thursday.

Armed soldiers and police also beat up and arrested Firebase artistes including Red Aya, Dex, Wagi, and the CEO of Bigs promotion.

The artistes were bundled up to into a car and detained at Kira Road Police station.

“It is sad to hear that Bobi Wine’s studio in Kamwokya has been invaded by UPDF. Young artists beaten and arrested without any charge,” FDC said in a statement.

“These are young people that are doing their best in music.”

FDC said the army and police have intimidated Anne Whitehead, a report with New York Times who was taking photos to delete photos but defied and asked which law they were using for her to delete the photos.
