The Farmers Party of Uganda (FPU) presidential flag bearer Maj Gen Benon Biraaro has lashed out at the rest of his competitors and their party affiliations, calling upon people of Soroti district not to vote them.
Speaking at a rally in Soroti municipality, Biraaro called upon residents not to vote the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) because they have fed people on lies, he also said that voting FDC is not any different since it is full of angry people. Biraaro further said that UPC and DP are worse off since leaders there keep abusing each other, calling upon people to vote for him since he is “clean”.
“If you want more lies then vote the NRM, if you want people that are angry 24/7 (all day) then proceed with FDC, If you want leaders that abuse each other in public go right ahead with UPC or even DP,” Biraaro said.
“If you are looking for people who have come to work, then you are looking at Biraaro. I represent farmers who are over 80% in this country,” he added.
Biraaro’s submission comes not long since DP president Norbert Mao went head to head with former Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and the unending fight for the party president seat in the UPC.
