An ex- soldier and member of the Front for National Salvation (FRONASA), has been killed in a motor accident.
Wanzala Mukuwa was knocked by a speeding vehicle along Republic Street in Mbale as he tried to cross the road yesterday Morning.
Born in 1933, Mukuwa reportedly joined FRONASA in 1973, a year after its formation in 1972 by Ugandan President Museveni.
FRONASA was a rebel military movement established in Tanzania by a group of Ugandan exilees led by Museveni to fight Idi Amin’s regime.
The Mt Elgon sub-region police spokesperson Diana Nandawula said Mukuwa died after being knocked down by a speeding Toyota Premio UAS 114 S.
