It was heart breaking when one Ugandan told me “those maids, they only flew 25 back”.
One time at the beach, a little boy was busy picking up shell fish and throwing them back into the ocean.
An elder gentleman walked up to him and said “why do you bother? There are so many of them and you will never make a difference”.
The little boy picked up the next shell fish, tossed it back into the ocean and said to the elder “I just made a difference to that one”.
This is a feel good story that has been circulating all over the internet. The real lesson is to do any and every small thing to make a difference.
“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” Mother Teresa
You make a very big mistake to think that you have to do mighty things. Every small act counts.
