Business has come to stand still in Kabale town this afternoon escorting Besigye after the court session.

Ecstatic Kizza Besigye supporters chant, were seen sweeping roads, climbing trees as he left court where the case has been adjourned to September 26.

Besigye is charged with malicious damage and inciting violence alongside other opposition figures, including Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, Kawempe South Member of Parliament Mubarak Munyagwa, Hon. Francis Mwijjukye and the FDC secretary for mobilization Ingrid Turinawe.

Prosecution alleges that in July 2012, Besigye, a former presidential candidate, and his colleagues incited the public at Kabale Stadium, leading to the injuring of four policemen and destruction of three police cars by their stone-pelting supporters.
