As many Ugandans yearn for an opportunity to work in the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) for its lucrative salary, some of those already employed in the authority want out.
What we gather from city hall is that KCCA deputy executive director
Dr Judith Tukahirwa has resigned from her job.
Sources in the authority say Dr Tukahirwa put in her resignation as deputy executive director late last week.
However, pleas from KCCA leaders including the executive director Jennifer Musisi herself for Dr Tukahirwa not to resign yielded nothing.
It’s not yet clear why she decided to resign.
Dr Tukahirwa, a solid waste consultant was appointed by president Yoweri Museveni as Musisi’s deputy in December 2012.
She hasn’t been much of a public figure like her collegues in the top management but she leaves behind a record of good work.
She is also a member of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation Board.
Meanwhile, we also gather that ED Musisi has never attended any of the authority council meetings chaired by the City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.
