Makerere don Dr Stella Nyanzi has taken her fight with Institute of Social Research boss Prof Mahmood Mamdani to another level.
On Monday, Nyanzi undressed while being captured live on NBS television.
Nyanzi was evicted from her office on Friday on orders of her Mamdani who is the founder of MISR.
She wrote to the Makerere deputy vice chancellor protesting the eviction.
The DVC wrote back to Mamdani staying the eviction orders until the matter is resolved.
MISR then explained in an internal memo that Nyanzi had not been dismissed but was being relocated to the library until she agrees to teach a PhD programme which she had earlier on committed to.
Over the weekend, Nyanzi was locked out of her office but she managed to jump in through the window.
She then wrote on her social media Facebook page accusing Mamdani of yapping her breasts for six years and racially segregating her for Idi Amin’s action of expelling Asians from Uganda back in the 70s.
On Monday morning, Nyanzi returned to MISR only to find her office still locked.
While being captured live on NBS television, Nyanzi went infront of Prof. Mamdani’s office and started undressing.
“We had to cut the coverage of the ongoing incident short after Dr. Stella Nyanzi threatened and attempted to undress in protest,” NBS TV later explained in a tweet.
Nyanzi went ahead and posted her naked pictures on social media saying: “I have thrown my clothes outside Mamdani’s office. I am naked as I cry out for my office.”
