Democratic Party (DP) president Norbert Mao has been discharged from hospital where he has spent a week or so.
Mao was rushed to International Hospital Kampala, a week ago after he developed complications.
Last year, Mao was rushed to the Kenyan capital Nairobi for treatment.
He stabilised after being treated by experts at Nairobi Hospital.
DP Secretary General, Mathiaus Nsubuga, said Mao’s recent admission was related to renewed complications.
He was visited at IHK by former coordinator of intelligence services in UPDF, Gen David Tinyefuza aka Sejusa, DP’s Mohammed Baswale, Dr Kizza Besigye and Kampala International University students.
Days back, he was removed from Intensive Care Unit where he had spent three days.
His brother Dusman Okee told New Vision that doctors were happy with the progress Mao had made.
Mao will continue to receive treatment at his home in Ntinda until he is fully recovered.
He can walk by himself and also shower without a helper.
Okee insisted on giving his brother privacy for quick recovery.
