Tanzania singer, Diamond Platinumz, sees nothing wrong with respecting Ugandan singer, Jose Chameleone, for what he is.
According to Diamond, who has made his own name, Chameleone is a “legend in the East African music fraternity”.
The ‘Number one’ hit maker’s recognition of Chameleone took everyone by surprise.
Diamond made the revelation a few days back while congratulating fellow Tanzanian singer, Barnabas Elias, for landing a collabo with Chameleone.
Chameleone and Elias recorded the duet recently when the singer was in Tanzania.
In his own words, Diamond said that the “Pencil Thin” singer is the regions’ god father of musical legends and anyone who gets a chance to work with him should be honoured.
There are reports that Diamond himself is working on a project with Chameleone.
An Afrobeat and reggae musician, Chameleone is one of the most popular Ugandan musicians of the 21st century and enjoys strong popularity in many countries throughout Africa.
Chameleone sings in Luganda, English and Swahili making him an item in Kenya and Tanzania.
Several of his songs have yielded popular catchphrases, including Basiima Ogenze, Shida Za Dunia, Nekolera Maali and Badilisha.
