Four people have been shot dead in Yambio town over the weekend in two separate incidents according to Radio Miraya.
On Sunday night, an unknown gunman killed a woman and one of her children and wounded two other children.
The two children who sustained gunshot wounds are currently receiving treatment at Yambio Civil Hospital.
On Friday, another unknown gunman attacked a family in which a man and his wife were killed and set on fire.
According to Eye Radio, a curfew has been imposed in Yambio town following the murders.
The Western Equatoria State Minister of Information, Charles Kisanga, says the elderly and the secondary school girl were killed in Timbiro residential area.
A similar incident happened on Friday, when a man and his wife were shot dead and burnt in their house in the town.
Mr Kisanga says the curfew was to reduce random killings in the town.
“A joint patrol by the organized forces” was conducted within the time of the curfew that was effective between 10pm and 6am, Charles Kisanga told Eye Radio.
The motive of the attacks leading to the curfew was not clear.
Mr Kisanga said no suspect was arrested by last evening in connection with the killings.
