Cranes prepare for Zambia, Congo Brazzaville


The Uganda Cranes started official training sessions in preparation for three key matches to be played in the next 10 days.

This will start with the Regional tour of Kampala this Saturday at Mutessa II stadium, Wankuluku to be followed with an international friendly with Zambia on 8th November and 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifier against Congo Brazzaville on 12th November.

Cranes played a practice match against reigning league champions KCCA FC and won 1-0 thanks to Erisa Sekisambu’s goal.

Players who attended training at the Philip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo;

Goalkeepers: Salim Jamal, Isma Watenga, Nicholas Wadada, Joseph Nsubuga, Khalid Lwaliwa, Hassan Wasswa, Tonny Mawejje, Kezironi Kizito, Moses Oloya, Erisa Sekisambu, Yunus Sentamu, Allan Kayiwa, Godfrey Lwesibawa and Geoffrey Kizito.

Training resumes on Thursday at 4pm, Mandela National stadium, Namboole.
