Cranes beat Togo 1-0 in Lome


Uganda Cranes beats Togo 1-0 in Lome.

Uganda’s lone goal was scored by Farouk Miya at 39 minutes.

Miya plays for Vipers SC.

In a bright turn of events, Uganda defended the goal through the second half.

Another man of the day was goalie Dennis Onyango who punched away a 54th minute Togo penalty.

Cranes missed many chances to score more goals.

The Thursday Lome victory gives Cranes an upper hand when it comes to the second leg.

Cranes will play Togo again this Sunday at Mandela National Stadium Namboole in Kampala.
