Following the failure of these two Ugandan duo Moses Ssekibogo aka Radio and his counterpart, Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel and of the GoodLyfe Crew to appear before court on 12th July 2016 as stated in criminal summons issued to them requiring they appear in court over Libel and offensive communication against their former Manager Jeff Kiwanuka, Makindye Grade One Magistrate, Juliet Nakitende has issued a warrant of arrest for singers.
Jeff Kiwa dragged the “Ngenda masso” singers to court alleging that on 3rd June they uploaded a video on their Facebook page, accusing him of being a murderer, an issue they didn’t have evidence of.
According to him, the duo tarnished his name among the members of the public.
On issuing of the summons warrant the magistrate has dismissed the request by the defence counsel John Bosco Mudde, who informed court that his clients didn’t come to court because they were not aware of the matter there by asked court to order Jeff Kiwanuka’s counsel to serve them with fresh summons.
“The applicant’s counsel brought to court an affidavit of service by Okello Gabriel from Muwema and co advocates who informed court that he went to serve Radio and weasel at their home in Makindye Kizungu Kampala District but on seeing him the two chased him out of their compound, which they defense counsel didn’t challenge.”
“I therefore issue a warrant of arrest to A1 Moses Sekibogo aka Radio and A2 Douglas Mayanja aka Weasle to be brought before this court to answer the charges against them.”
On issuing the arrest warrant, the magistrate ordered that the two are to be arrested, and they should be produced to court as soon as possible.
Jeff Kiwanuka who was in the company of his brother Allan Kiwa, friends and relatives looked happy after the court’s decision and vowed to do whatever is possible to have the two artists brought to court.
