A queer report from Congo alleges that a Deputy Minister of Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Enock Ruberangabo Sebineza, was fired for masturbating in office.
According to the report, President Joseph Kabila sacked the minister early this week after a video of him masturbating inside his office went viral on social media.
Sebineza was captured pants down by a hidden camera, pulling his trouser down and giving himself a hand job till he ejaculated.
The four minutes and 27 seconds video was uploaded on YouTube only for the platform to remove it on grounds of privacy rules violation.
Congolese citizens then pressurised Kabila and Prime Minister Matata Ponyo with the hashtag: #SebinezaMustGo.
He was reportedly accused of “a serious breach of duty and ethics” inappropriate for the esteem of senior members of government and relieved of his duties.
The 54-year-old is said to be a notable Tutsi of the Congolese Banyamulenge community.
He has been a President of his community (SHIKAMA) and for many years assumed important responsibilities in the province of South Kivu.
Sebineza also participated in the inter-Congolese dialogue, and had been the national deputy in the transitional parliament (2003-2006).
