Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone a celebrated Ugandan musician celebrated his 36th birthday in Kigali at Plus250 Lounge and The Mirror Hotel’s Class Club on 30th April.
This same day was the launch of his collabo with Rwandese, Two4Real’s DJ Pius’ newly released Agatako song, which features Chameleone.
The two gave a remarkable performance that kicked off the celebrations. The ‘Agatako’ video was launched and Plus 250 Lounge was filled to full capacity as Chameleon’s fans were over joyed. Some were seen screaming and singing along all his lyrics.
Overwhelmed by the turn-up and the love shown by his fans, the music star broke down and shed tears of joy, confessing he felt that Rwandans treated him like one of their own.
“I am overwhelmed by this to be honest, look at me,” the singer emotionally. At the height of excitement, he grabbed a bottle of whiskey and poured shots in fans’ mouths. He also cut the cake and shared with revelers.
Flanked by DJ Pius, Big Fariouz and Alex Muyoboke, Chameleone performed a few of his old songs and other popular Ugandan hits before taking to the decks to show off his deejaying skills.
After all the glims and glams on 30th he appeared so late for his Saturday show at Class Club the show kicked off around 12:45am, about two hours late.
