Capital FM presenter, Flavia Tumusiime, has announced that she is joining the Serena based NTV as a news anchor.
“Proud to announce that I will be joining NTV Uganda, to grow and take my television career to a new level,” Flavia said in a social media message.
She will be part of the team anchoring the 9pm news weekdays.
“Hope you will show me the same support you have unconditionally given me at every step in my career,” she urged her fans.
Flavia is both a radio and TV host, actress, voice-over artist and emcee.
She has been presenting a mid-morning radio show (AM-PM Show) on Capital FM radio in Kampala, as well as being a VJ for Channel O.
Flavia has been a TV presenter since she was teenager.
She started presenting on WBS TV’s teen’s club, a show she did with other teens for four years.
Between 2010 and 2012, she presented K-files, another program on WBS TV.
From 2011, she has presented the Guiness football challenge.
It has been aired on NTV (Uganda) and ITV & KTN (Kenya).
In the same period, she has been a VJ on Channel O.
She was also a presenter for Big Brother Africa in 2012.
Flavia had a short stint working as a presenter on HOT100 FM in 2006 before finally settling at Capital FM where she has been to date.
When asked whether she was leaving Capital FM, Flavia told The Insider that she will be serving both the radio and NTV.
“I will still be at capital. No conflict,” she told us.
