The Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga has urged young ladies and women in Busoga to emulate the Late Naume Bamwoze who lived an exemplary life.
This was during the funeral service for the deceased at Bugembe playgrounds on Sunday 12th June 2016. Mrs. Bamwoze was later laid to rest in the cathedral cemetery.
Kadaga who was also representing the President, as the Chief Mourner, said that Museveni was standing with his friends the Bamwoze family and that he has sent a condolence token Ushs 10 million to assist in the funeral arrangements.
“Mrs. Bamwoze was a role model to all of us; she was the perfect wife and her life revolved around her husband Bishop Cyprian Bamwoze. She was our role model as she disciplined both the women and the girls of Busoga,” Kadaga said.
In attendance at the funeral ceremony were a number of Legislation from Busoga and the third deputy Prime Minister designate, Hon. Kirunda Kivejinja.
The Late Nauwme Bamwoze succumbed to diabetes and high blood pressure at Mulago Hospital on Thursday 9th June 2016.
She is survived by a son and two grand children.
