Five people are reported dead in Bundibugyo tribal clashes on Tuesday night.
The incident happened in Kikalizo village, Ntontoro sub County when assailants attacked the deceased people and stabbed them to death.
One of the houses in the area was burnt and properties stolen.
The area Resident District Commissioner, Geoffrey Mucunguzi, says the police have been deployed to commence investigations.
Meanwhile, police kicked off its work by shooting one person on Wednesday morning who reportedly threw stones at them.
The injured man was rushed to Bundibugyo hospital.
After the February 24th LC5 elections, violence erupted in Busengerwa village of Busaru sub county where one person was shot dead by a former UPDF guide, called Museveni Bonifance, alias Bhangi.
This led to retaliatory attacks in Busaru, Ngamba and Kirumya sub counties, leaving 15 Civilians dead and 04 others injured, 139 houses were also set ablaze.
Following the incidents, 80 suspects were charged with murder in the high court sitting in Fort Portal on 11th March 2016 and subsequently remanded.
In Kasese, election violence cost the lives of six people at the hands of security forces.
