Bobi Wine to fight drug abuse

Bobi Wine revealed via Facebook that he was to work with police to end the use of drugs among the youth through sensitizing them.

Singer, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine after a long talk with ASP Mohammed Kirumira, the newly appointed DPC, Old Kampala Police Station, will be working hand in hand with Police to end the use of drugs among youths in Kampala.

“Am thankful to ASP Kirumira Muhammad and the Police for the agreeing to partner with us to rehabilitate our youth through dialogue and mentorship other than just throwing them into cells.” He wrote.

This is not the first time the Uganda Police is working with Bobi Wine to protect and serve Ugandans.

In December 2015, the singer worked with the police to calm down residents of Bwaise, who had launched a war on South Sudanese in the area over Ghetto singer, Cornelius Oloya aka Master Blaster’s death.

‪”Ghetto is a state of mind. Support and mentor them (youth). Yamba police nayo ekuyambe. Kolagana nomuntu wa bulijjo obwa police bukunyumire”
