Bobi Wine, Pan-Africanists solicit Shs20m to save baby

Singer Bobi Wine and Pan-Africanists have launched a fundraising drive to raise Shs20m and save a baby with a heart problem.

Erimia Muwoge, a 1 and 2 months old needs Shs 20m to undergo a heart operation.

Muwonge developed a hole in his heart, according Mulago hospital doctors.

After successfully conducting a fundraising drive for Shs.15m for a one Faith Namaganda who has a similar problem, the Pan-African Pyramid, together with H.E Ghetto President, also a member of the young generation of Pan-Africanists group, on Wednesday unanimously decided to lead the campaign to help the family of Muwonge from Masaka raise money that could help renew their son’s worldly dreams.

In a press conference held at Rumours Bar and Restaurant in Bukoto on Wednesday, Bobi Wine called on all his supporters across the world that enjoy his musical talent to join in and support this noble cause of ensuring the required amount is raised through various activities that he is going to engage the public in.

A car washing exercise has been organised on 28th/5/2016 at Panamera Bar on Lugogo by pass by Pan-Africanists under their umbrella group Pan-African pyramid.

The exercise that will begin from 9am-7pm will see Bobi Wine lead other distinguished fellow artistes wash people’s cars, motor cycles, bicycles and polish shoes for shs.50,000/=, shs.20,000/=, shs.10,000/= and shs.10000/= respectively.

“I call upon all my friends and enemies to bring their cars, motor cycles and shoes to me for and polishing tuwezze akajja ka cali wange ajjanjabwe mwana,” Bobi said in his usual signature language.

PAP’s speaker, Andrew Irumba said the drive is non-partisan and will bring all the politicians, business community, religious leaders and the general public to a common cause beyond their usual political, social differences.

“Pan-African pyramid is an intellectual non-partisan discussion forum built on the Pillars of Pan-Africanism, patriotism and Nationalism whose Ideal/pre-occupation is to revive intellectual discourse among the youths with a bias of re-constructing our lost Pan-Africanism, patriotism and Nationalism Values and spirit. It goes beyond your man-made boundaries socially, economically, politically, religiously, culturally, race or colour,” Irumba said on phone.
