Bobi Wine calls Mwenda a hypocrite

Singer Bobi Wine lost his cool and told off journalist, Andrew Mwenda, for daring and trying to challenge with opposition leader, Kizza Besigye, on the future of Uganda.

Mwenda visited Besigye’s at his home in Kasangati on March 1, 2016 and reportedly held “very fruitful discussions on the present and future of Uganda”.

“Even though we disagree on how to promote democratic reform, I have no doubt that he is genuinely convinced that he is working for the good of our country,” Mwenda wrote after the visit.

Responding to the comment, Bobi wrote: “I really find you hypocritical Andrew, we can only resolve Uganda’s problem by seeking truth and justice.”

Not long ago, Bobi was seen leading a social media campaign demanding for the release of Besigye from house arrest.

Bobi also released his new song “Situka” which seems to resonate with Besigye’s defiance campaign.

“We cannot start using injustice as a way of drawing people to the talking table,” he told off Mwenda, who is known by many as a “Museveni puppet”.

“This is not about Museveni or Besigye, it’s about Ugandans,” Bobi lashed at Mwenda.

Mwenda has since maintained a deathly silence on the matter.
