Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) former presidential candidate Dr Kizza Besigye is heading to Omoro District where he is expected to campaign for the FDC candidate.
Besigye will be campaigning for the FDC flag bearers Simon Toolit and Prossy Alanya for Omoro LCV seat and the district woman MP seat respectively.
The by-elections are scheduled take place in August 29 after the two seats fell vacant following court petitions.
Toolit, a former Omoro County MP was nominated in July this year for the LCV race after his election petition challenging the victory of Deputy speaker Jacob Oulanyah who defeated him in the February 2016 parliamentary elections was dismissed.
Campaigns for LCV started on August 1 and are expected to end on August 25, just three days to election date.
Omoro split from Gulu after the 9th parliament elevated and granted it a full district status.
