Former presidential aspirant Dr. Kiiza Besigye has this morning said that he will be delighted to see the IGP appearing behind the dock.
Speaking to journalists, at Kampala High Court where Besigye was appearing as part of his treason case bail conditions set by Judge Wilson Masalu Musene upon his release on July 12.
Dr Besigye also said he would go to court to witness IGP Gen Kale Kayihura being prosecuted for sanctioning beating of citizens in Kampala, saying people’s power will always prevail.
He further said it was now Kayihura’s who has always been detaining him, but let him also feel the rule of law.
The IGP Kale Kayihura is supposed to appear to Makindye court tomorrow following the case that was filed by lawyers on the rampant police brutality in the country.
Kayihura alongside other seven senior officers; Andrew Kaggwa (Kampala South Regional commander), James Ruhweza (head of operations, Kampala Metropolitan), Samuel Bamuziibire (Kampala Metropolitan Field Force Unit commander), Patrick Muhumuza (operations commander of Field Force Unit, Kampala Metropolitan South), Wesley Nganizi (Regional police commander, Kampala North), Geoffrey Kaheebwa (Deputy Regional Police Commander, Kampala South) and Moses Nanoka (Wandegeya Division police commander).
