The state Minister for housing has dismissed allegations that he mobilised farmers to blackmail tycoon James Musinguzi Garuga in the loss of over Shs15 billion from farmers.
According to media reports, Baryomunsi connived with some coffee farmers to implicate the Kanungu businessman in the loss of NAADS funds.
A war of words has since escalated between the Kinkizi East Member of Parliament and the tycoon.
This follows a move where over 170 tea farmers from Kanunga decided to petition the Inspector General of Government (IGG) seeking recovery of the money from the Director Kinkizi Development Company James Musinguzi for accountability.
Addressing the media at Parliament Wednesday, Baryomunsi said he is doing his delegated role as requested by the farmers and not being a saboteur.
Baryomunsi also noted that for quite some time there have been complaints from farmers over allegedly misuse of their Shs1.3 billion meant for the construction of an administrative structure.
The money in question was allegedly deducted from the tea farmers as requested by Musinguzi early 2015.
However addressing journalists in Kampala, Garuga denied having got any money from farmers.
