The Bishop of Kinkiizi diocese, Rt Rev Dan Zoreka, has asked electorates who are not satisfied with the recent released NRM results to quit NRM party and join any other political party where they will get peace.
The Bishop who was not happy with recent elections in Kanungu district was talking to the Christians of Bushere church of Uganda.
While confirming 35 Christians on Thursday, Zoreka asked Christians not to bow to the announced candidates saying that they “just grabbed the power”.
The Bishop blamed the police for exercising brutality on the public during announcing the “manipulated results”.
He told police to ask forgiveness or else they resign.
Zoreka who was about to shed tears had no good words for the NRM chairman electoral commission Kanungu district, John Byaruhanga.
“He [Byaruhanga] should ask forgiveness from the residents of Kanungu.”
He rebuked Karabenda Godfrey, RDC Harriet Nakamya, Emmy Magezi and the MP of Kinkiizi east, Chris Baryomunsi, for abusing people’s rights.
He asked Christians to pray to the country as we are heading to elections in 2016.
Baryomunsi for instance was cited in ballot stuffing when a vehicle carrying his pre-ticked ballots crashed at Katojjo near Kanungu town.
His camp also engaged in acts of hooliganism beating up journalists and destroying their cameras.
The army also arrested Baryomunsi’s opponent, Flugence Muhumuza, something he blames for his subsequent defeat.
