One again, FDC presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye, will have his rally in Kanungu town delayed because of bad roads.
On Tuesday, Besigye found a hard time accessing Ntungamo town because of a poor road network.
His convoy was stuck somewhere in Ruhaama villages, a constituency of First Lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni.
Besigye’s team had to make up a temporary bridge somewhere in Rwashameire Kajara county to ensure vehicles pass.
On Wednesday, Besigye found the same problem in Kisoro district.
In a village called Murumba, FDC officials including president, Mugisha Muntu, chairman, Wasswa Birigwa, had to abandon cars and walk on foot because of the muddy, slippery roads.
On Thursday morning, Besigye’s convoy was once more stuck in impassable roads enroute Kanungu town where he has a rally.
A member of his campaign team tells us they spent over 30 minutes trying to tow a truck stuck in the road to clear the passage.
He said when they pulled out of potholes, they then met a collapsed bridge and got stuck once more.
They are yet to access the town.
