Gospel musician, Judith Babirye, has yesterday picked NRM nomination forms to contest in the upcoming NRM primaries for Woman parliamentary seat for Buikwe district.
Judith of the Judith Babirye Ministries was received by NRM EC chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi, who led her to the tables where she was registered and given the forms.
Babirye said she wants to help her people move from substance agriculture to commercial agriculture.
She, however, said she would continue to glorify God even in parliament and said she was ‘favoured’ to win the seat.
After picking her nomination forms, she reached her social media page and said: “Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for the how far i’ve come. Please continue to guide me on this political trail that in everything I do, your name may be lifted high in Jesus’ mighty name. ‘AM NOW FULLY NOMINATED AS BUIKWE DISTRICT WOMAN MP ASPIRANT 2016…….”
Babirye announced early this year and announced her intentions to stand for the Woman Member of Parliament for Buikwe district.
She is known for inspirational gospel Music, singing both in English and Luganda and famous for songs like “Yesu beera Nange“, “Omusaayi“, “Omukisa gwa Mukama” and “Maama”, among others.
