According to an autopsy report released by the government team, Gen Aronda Nyakairima, died of acute heart failure.
Uganda Media Centre deputy executive director, Shaban Bantariza, told press on Thursday that Government dispatched a team of medical officers and family to Dubai following the death of Aronda.
He said the post-mortem examination would not be done in Dubai because it required a lengthy process.
As such, it was done at Mulago hospital in Kampala.
The report noted red eyes which was due to reduced blood findings.
“The heart was enlarged…it had an abnormal fat layer surrounding the blood vessels,” Bantariza said.
Bantariza said the cause of death was stated as acute heart failure.
He said the Prime Minister, Ruhakana Rugunda, will address parliament on the same report.
Meanwhile, government psychologist Omangino said there was a blockade which did not allow blood to flow clearly.
He said the victim got difficulties in breathing hence collapsing dead.
Dr. Moses Byaruhanga, on the other hand, says they found excessive fat on Aronda’s heart.
“We found that a lot of blood had been sent to the brain,” Byaruhanga told press.
However, MP Fungaroo Kaps says he doesn’t believe in the autopsy results provided by Government.
