President Kagame last week received Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Chairperson of the African Union, who was visiting the country ahead of the 27th AU Summit which will be held in Kigali from July 10 – 18.
After meeting President Kagame, the AU Chairperson said: “We are honoured to have met President Kagame who will be our host President next month during the Summit. We have had enough time to go around the city and we are satisfied with the preparations so far.”
“The AU team that will be arriving at the end of this month will be able to provide insight on the remaining requirements and I have no doubt that the Summit will be a success.”
President Kagame also received the MasterCard Foundation Board, led by Jim Leech.
The members of the board arrived in the country on June 12 to hold their annual board meeting in Rwanda and also follow up on the progress and implementation of projects supported by the foundation in Rwanda.
