Aruu County MP Odonga Otto seems to have taken matters way too personally in his recent war of words with FDC president Mugisha Muntu.
Otto wrote on social media this week accusing Muntu of betraying Kizza Besigye and revenging on him by leaving officials leaning towards the opposition leader out of his shadow cabinet.
Muntu wrote back and explained that Otto was left out because of his “treacherous attitude” in parliament where he was always fighting his fellow opposition members.
Otto has since turned the standoff into a quarrel of market women or idle men drinking local brew.
“Gen Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu You can’t even be secretary security LCI in your village am a four term elected MP you need me more than I need you,” Otto wrote on Saturday.
“Aruu county voted KB 60% tell me about your cell Muntu you are just part of the 50 year plan.”
Otto said life was a struggle for space and the struggle continues up to the cemetery.
“I enjoy my life and will live it to the fullest according to my DNA. With all due respect to Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu for all I have done even single handedly tearing papers on the floor of parliament during the Public Order Management Bill , Walk To Work all for the opposition cause at least you should have appointed me to clean the toilets for your shadow minister/cabinet. With all the energy I have,” the MP cried out.
Otto reminded Muntu that it was opposition effort that made hime leave the movement [the ruling NRM party].
“Welcome don’t forget all the major achievements you made in Uganda is out of Museveni’s appointments unlike me.”
Otto further said that when he supports Besigye, Museveni hates him and when he supports Besigye, Muntu hates him…”between walls”.
In Ntungamo district, Besigye got 32.05% and in Aruu KB got 60%, Otto set out to boast in the face of Muntu, adding, “For all my efforts in opposition that even ended me in Luzira prison with Erias Lukwago.”
Saying time would tell after the two have compared notes, Otto promised not to pursue the matter any further.
