Angelo Parakondo, a Commissioner in the office of the Governor of Gbudwe State has been killed.
On January 19, 2016, Major Jacob Lango, who had been nominated as Commissioner of Gemeza County, died suddenly hours before taking oath of office.
Other commissioners have been sworn in by Governor Juma Ali who had just finished a rally in the state capital Terekeka.
Parakondo, on the other hand, was among five people killed yesterday morning when clashes broke out between the SPLA and a local militia gang known as Arrow Boys.
Heavy fighting was reported in Yambio South Sudan as militias battled the national army [SPLA].
This comes at the peak of a crime spree in Wau town this week claimed the lives of three people.
On Tuesday at 11pm a husband and wife were killed in their house according to Wau State Police Commissioner Touch Chol Touch.
He named the victims as Alfateh Jido Mohammed El-Neel, 35 and his wife Anisa Sadiq Osman, 30.
He said an autopsy report from Wau Teaching Hospital shows that the man was shot with three bullets in the chest and on his left leg and woman was shot on the torso.
The couple’s four-month baby survived the killing.
Last Sunday night a teenager was shot dead in a separate incident at Kosti residential area also in Wau.
