Ugandans living in California USA on Friday took to the streets of Los Angeles [L.A] to protest against President Yoweri Museveni.
The California Ugandan community in their peaceful demonstration condemned what they termed as “Museveni’s human rights abuses”.
The crowd first assembled at 300 E. Temple ST, Los Angeles CA 90012 at 9:50am and kicked off their demonstration past mid-day.
They carried placards containing literature and images accusing Museveni of presiding over “injustices and undemocratic practices”.
They further demanded the release of Kizza Besigye who they regarded as Uganda’s new president.
This comes on heels of another protest that rocked London early in the week by Ugandans protesting election fraud and opposition leader, Kizza Besigye’s house arrest.
The protesters handed a petition the UK Prime Minister David Cameron.
