Uganda opposition leader Kizza Besigye’s son has been elected president at Oxford.
At only 16 years old Anselm Besigye, is elected captain of the Oxford debating union.
He put out his campaign video, filmed by his mother Winnie Byanyima in which he said,
“I plan to host public exhibitions on hot button issues and current events… I plan to invite speakers from around campus to join in our beloved pizza parties so that we can get new debaters in the door, because we are and should be the biggest club at campus,” he lured fellow students during his campaign.
And he won, like his mother stated it on her twitter handle.
“He’s won! Anselm -elected president of his school debating club. A Proud Mum.”
This followed his school based debate about the fundamental issues minimum wage for the working class people in society, which he won too and took the trophy .
This young man and son of 2 of Uganda’s most seasoned politicians Engineer Winnie Byanyima and Dr. Retired Col. Kizza Besigye, will not fall short of following the superior footstep of his parents.
