Presidential candidate, Amama Mbabazi, in his digital campaign has opened an online radio.
The radio will be launched officially next week.
According to JPAM camp, the radio will help their candidate reach a wider audience without being curtailed by the state that harasses radios which host opposition candidates.
To cement its role, the radio already has a voice of FDC’s Kizza Besigye talking about The Democratic Alliance.
It also has Amama’s presidential declaration which he launched on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter back in the year.
The radio can be accessed on http://amamaradio.com/ .
“This is AmamaRadio. The new generation for Uganda,” is the radio’s catchword.
Amama also has another radio station located in Kihihi town Kanungu district which was running even when he was still in government.
Kinkizi Radio which was going through financial struggles returned on air in September 2015 having been closed in 2014.
It also underwent a massive staff restructuring to make it fit enough to compete with Kanungu broadcasting services (KBS) which is owned by businessman, James Musinguzi Garuga.
