Approximately there are less than two months to the kick-off of the long awaited 2017 AFCON qualifying match between Uganda Cranes and Comoros at Mandela National stadium in Namboole.

On Wednesday 13th/July, the Uganda Cranes main sponsors, Airtel Uganda Limited launched a special fans’ promotion dubbed “Mujje Tulumbe Recharged” at the Airtel Head offices along Clement Hill Road.

A total of 5300 match tickets, Shs1M daily and a brand new car weekly for the next 53 days will be given out to the lucky fans during the promotion.

Airtel Uganda Head of Brand and Communications, Ms Remmie Kisakye tagged the campaign as an unprecedented consumer promotion ahead of Comoros match with Uganda.

Remmie further said “It has been 39 years since Uganda qualified for the AFCON and come 3rd September, we are very optimistic that it’s the time to make history and qualify.

The promotion intends to mobilize all Ugandans to come and show support to the national team. It is time to re-charge your passion!


Kisakye clarified that “a brand new car weekly will be given out to the fans, a total of 100 tickets and Shs1,000,000 daily where the “Winners will be notified through only one number 0752600200,”
