Afcon: Burkina Faso outs 25-man squad to face Cranes


Ahead of their clash in the AFCON 2017 qualifiers with the Uganda Cranes, Burkina Faso national football team head coach, Paulo Duarte has named a strong 25 squad.

There are 22 professionals and three home based players on the team named on Thursday.

Among the professional players is Chelsea F.C attacking midfielder Bertrand Isidore Traoré.

Others are French based Alain Traore (Lorient), Bakary Kone (Olympique Lyon) and Abdoul Aziz Kabore (Valenciennes).

Spanish based Jonathan Zongo (Almeria) is also on the team.

The three home players are; Cyrille Kpan (USFA), Yacouba Coulibaly (RCB) and Yacouba Mando (Kozaf).

Uganda’s team will be named on 16th March 2016 at FUFA House in Mengo, Kampala.

Burkina Faso shall host the first leg on the 26th March 2016 in Ouagadougou before the return leg shall be played within three days in Kampala.

Uganda currently leads Group D with six points ahead of Botswana, Burkina Faso and Comoros.
